Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG), has been safely used to enhance and accelerate weight loss for over 60 years. HCG is a naturally occurring hormone produced in large quantities during the early stages pregnancy. This hormone allows the body to mobilize fat and use it as energy for both mother and baby. For weight loss, research suggest a significantly less dose or injection results in a weight loss of a pound per day, and often more, when accompanied by a very low calorie diet of approximately 500 calories. In a famine state, the very low calorie intake is what activates the hCG hormones to seek those stubborn fat stores that you want to get rid of.
HCG Therapy Protocol
The duration of hCG therapy will be customized for each individual and dependent on the amount of weight loss desired. Your customized program will include a weekly call with your patient advocate, who will monitor your progress and answer any questions that you may have.
HCG is used in extremely low doses for weight loss. Daily injections of 15-20 units take place and are determined by the treating physician. Once the majority of your weight loss has been achieved, a 3-week maintenance program is recommended to reset your metabolism.

Results You Can Expect

Is HCG Safe for Men and Women?

Currently, there are no known established clinical side effects to homeopathic remedies and medicines but your physician will conduct a thorough evaluation and request a complete lab panel to ensure that you qualify for hCG injections. You will also be closely monitored by your physician throughout your treatment process.
HCG is also very safe for men. The hCG hormone is naturally present in men. It is found in every human tissue, including males, pregnant women, and non-pregnant women. Often times, men get faster results and tend to lose more weight than women.
How Does HCG Work for Weight Loss?
HCG reduces feelings of hunger. This allows you to eat very little comfortably. The presence of hCG in the bloodstream reduces your appetite. HCG is also known a pro-hormone which helps the body make more hormones. Since hormone deficiency or imbalance is usually part of the reason for weight gain, whether it’s your thyroid, leptin resistance, or menopause (or andropause), this hormone offers help.
HCG injections also keep you from losing muscle while you diet. By elevating hormone levels in the body, including testosterone, the hCG hormone creates an anabolic state (muscle-building) which counteracts the catabolic state (muscle-breakdown). There are hormone receptors on muscle fibers that respond to the increased hormone levels in patients taking the hCG hormone.
Why does that matter? During a fast, dramatic loss of pounds with crash dieting, there is a high amount of muscle that is lost. Because muscle is heavy, this loss looks good on the scale because the pounds are dropping quickly. When you lose muscle, it’s bad for your body, shape, and metabolism. The HCG Diet – What You Can Eat and What You Can’t
Your caloric intake will be reduced to 500 calories per day. Your hCG meal plan will include the following:
Breakfast consists of 1 fruit, choose from this list:
- 1/2 grapefruit
- Handful of strawberries
You may have coffee or tea. Use stevia, xylitol or erythritiol as sweetners and 1 Tbsp. coconut, hemp, almond or rice milk for creamers. (These are readily available at stores like Whole Foods, Sprouts, etc.)
Snacks to choose from:
- Handful of strawberries
- 1/2 grapefruit
- One melba toast
Lunch and Dinner will consist of 3 1/2 oz or 100 grams of lean protein and 3 1/2 oz vegetable (do not mix vegetables). You may use any spices that do not contain sugar, oil or butter. You may also use the juice of one lemon daily and vinegar.
Proteins to choose from:
- Chicken breast (no skin)
- Fresh white fish (no salmon, eel, tuna, herring)
Vegetables to choose from:
- Green salad
- Red radishes
HCG Maintenance Plan
The maintenance phase is the three weeks following the strict HCG program. On the 4th day following the last HCG injections, you are allowed to increase your caloric intake from 500 to 1200 calories per day. You may begin to reintroduce all foods except for starches and sugars. You may also enjoy small amounts of alcohol. To control and count your caloric intake, increase your protein and vegetable quantities to 6oz. twice a day along with eating 2 fruits per day.
This will be approximately 900 calories. The remaining 300 calories will be eating a larger breakfast with protein or by adding protein into your snacks. You may start using olive oil for cooking as well as begin taking your vitamins and supplements.
