Melissa is a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner, specializing in functional and integrative medicine. Melissa received her bachelor’s degree from Gwynedd Mercy University while working at St. Christopher’ Hospital for Children and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
She went on to further her education and received her master’s degree in nursing at the University of Pennsylvania.
Melissa has experience working in both inner city and suburban practices, along with specific experience working in integrative and functional medicine. After a long battle with a debilitating autoimmune illness, Melissa changed her focus to integrative and holistic medicine.
Melissa has completed the program at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and makes integrative nutrition an important part of every consultation. Melissa is very active in the Institute for Functional Medicine, where she continuously furthers her knowledge by learning from the leading experts in Functional and Integrative Medicine.
Melissa specializes in pediatrics, autoimmune disease and gut health but also extends her integrative approach to adults.
Melissa has two children of her own, ages 5 and 6, and is raising her children with a holistic approach. Melissa enjoys learning, spending time with her husband and children, exercise and going to the beach.
